5 Ways To Get Rid Of Dark Underarms – #MyFriendAlexa

Dark underarms can be a reason for embarrassment for many of you, especially when you want to wear a sexy bikini or sleeveless clothes. Ideally, your underarms should have the same skin tone as the rest of your body.

If you are one of those who hide their underarms by wearing clothes with sleeves, then this article can help you get rid of that dark patch. The darkening of underarms occurs due to several reasons and isn’t anything serious. Yet, no one likes the look and feel of it.

Reasons For Darkening Of Underarms

Using a razor to remove your underarm hair can cause darkening of the skin. Shaving only removes surface hair and can often cause abrasions, leading to skin darkening. Waxing, on the other hand, removes the hair from the root, keeping the skin tone intact.

Antiperspirants or deodorants are used to remove odour from your underarms left by sweat and bacteria. While most deodorants today are safe, some can cause irritation and darken the skin.

If dead skin builds up in your underarm area, it can cause discolouration. So, you need to exfoliate regularly.

Sometimes clothes that are too rough or harsh on the skin can rub against your underarm and darken your skin.
