C- Easy Pressure Cooker Carrot Halwa Recipe #BlogChatterA2Z

The weather and soil of India are perfect for a good carrot crop. Indians can enjoy the red carrots or the desi gajar for the seasonal months and the other orange carrots all throughout the year. There is definitely a difference between the taste and nutritive value. We just experienced the red carrot season and I have developed a really easy pressure cooker Gajar ka Halwa recipe which will be shared later on in this post.

Eating carrots daily can keep spectacles away. In fact this is only one of the well-known benefits of carrot that is why this humble vegetable is added in the list of super foods.

Pressure cooker Carrot Halwa

Pressure cooker Carrot Halwa recipe.

Ingredients

2 cups shredded carrot
½ cup fresh cream
1 cup milk
3 tbsp sugar
3 tsp ghee
1/4 cup dry fruits chopped
1 pinch cardamom powder

Method

1. Place the pressure cooker pan on low flame.  Heat one tsp ghee and then add shredded carrots.

2. Now sauté this for 5-7 mins. Then adds milk and cream and mix it in

3. Put on the pressure cooker lid and cook for 3 whistles in medium flame.

4. Open the pressure cooker and add sugar at this stage.

4. Cook in medium flame until the liquid dries up. Also, add the remaining ghee.

5. Add cardamom powder, chopped dry fruits stir well and switch off the flame.

6. Your Carrot halwa is ready now. Serve it as you like, hot, warm or cold with a dollop of icecream.
