Happy 50th Year Celebration- Pizza Express Menu

Pizza Express Menu –  We love being a part of celebrations, this one was super special as it was my favourite pizza and Italian Food chain Pizza Express that was celebrating its 50 years journey. Pizza Express brings everyone the great tastes of Italy and expertly crafted pizzas to over 500 restaurants world over.

THE INVITE-

Few of us would not only be spending an evening sampling some scrumptious pizzas, pasta, starters, and drinks on the New Menu but also having the most awesome hands-on experience of making pizzas.

 

CHEF’S TABLE

It was a packed event with enthusiastic bloggers. Head Pizzaiolo Uday arrived on the scene to speak to us. A pizzaiolo is a pizza chef, the guys who wear the black and white striped t-shirts at the restaurant. To become a certified pizzaiolo at Pizza Express, one needs to go through 12 weeks of intense training. He then proceeded to give us some insight about Pizza Express Menu world over.

 

THE MAKING OF A PIZZA

1.The Romano base Pizza with freshly smeared Passata all sourced from Italy.
2. Freshest of ingredients, vegetables, and chicken. Pizza Express believes in never overloading their pizzas to get the best flavours.
3. Mozzarella Cheese follows drizzled with pesto sauce.
4. Smiley on the pizza was a creative twist by our team making the pizza.

DRINKS

I was sipping on a Zenzero  Fresca Mocktail ( INR 150/) with the freshest of carrot, orange, ginger and lemon juice. A fun, summery, nutritious drink for a fitness conscious foodie like me. Oooh Wow !! I was loving the new Pizza Express menu already.

 

The Martini di Ananas( INR 325/-) was an absolutely delicious cocktail and got me happy, it had the zing of vodka, Bacardi, pineapple juice and grenadine syrup. A must try when you visit guys.

STARTERS

The dish I was most looking forward to taste was the Antipasto Verde (INR 525/-), assorted Veg platter and the Antipasto Polio e Gamberro(INR 825/-), assorted non-veg platter.

PIZZAS

It was now time to dig into the new range of Pizzas, and yes there was not 1,2,3 but 4 new variants of pizzas on the Menu.
1.II Padrino 65-Grilled chicken, chargrilled veggies, mozzarella on a Romano base, drizzled & baked with basil pesto and roast tomatoes. ( INR 695/-)

2.Arrabiata– Classic spicy chicken with fresh cherry tomatoes, jalapenos seasoned with oregano, black pepper and chili oil. ( INR 550/-)

3.Amore Nascosto– This was my favourite pizza of the night. Romano pizza with speck ham, spicy Nduja, harrisa marinated tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella & garnished with fresh spinach and creamy ricotta. ( INR 795/-) This New Pizza Express menu rocks.

4.D’Andrea-This one had my favourite Feta cheese on it. With grilled chicken and roasted peppers ( INR 595 /-)

 

PASTAS

Penne Con Peppadew pasta ( INR 465/-) was a creamy dish dressed in tangy-sweet peppadew, chargrilled vegetables,onions&garlic, seasoned perfectly. It was slurped up so quickly the minute it reached my plate.

Pollo Pesto Baked, as the name suggests, was baked penne pasta in creamy basil pesto sauce, mushrooms, chicken, red onions and yummy gooey cheese. This rich dish was a treat for a cheese-loving fan.

 

Linguine Ai Gamero a Pesto Rosso ( 595/-)  slurpy Linguine pasta tossed with garlic and chili flakes, tangy pesto Rosso, white wine and prawns. This dish had a surprisingly new flavor I had never tasted before. I quite liked the prawns and pasta combo.

The meal we had was delicious, just like every time I visit Pizza Express.

DESSERT

And they saved the best for last. My main reason for visiting Pizza Express has always been the cheesecake. What if I told you that the new menu has a platter of cheesecake, chocolate fudge, and Tiramisu at just ( INR 395/-) However the cheesecake will still be my favourite of them all. Definitely repeat ordering this next time around too.

Such a fun, foodie event this was. Pizza Express remains one of my favorites in the city of Mumbai.

This New PIzza Express menu is available henceforth across Pizza Express outlets in the city – Andheri East, Andheri West, Bandra Kurla Complex, Colaba, Powai, and Thane.
