Physical activity improves blood circulation and helps our brain to release happy chemicals. Apart from the health boost, you end up feeling great and relaxed. Get moving for at least 30 minutes on most days of the week. You can try dancing, jogging, swimming, or brisk walking — this is one kind of PMS treatment that you’ll enjoy.

1. Alter Your Diet

I know it is easier said than done but try till you succeed. Alter your diet to a healthier one can make a difference in your PMS symptoms. Up your intake of fruits, veggies, and whole grains and cut back on sugar, artificial sweeteners, fat, and salt. The difference is huge, giving you benefits, not only during your periods — but all month long.

2. Start  a DIY project/Hobby 

DIY  projects are a great idea as it’s fun and gives you a satisfying feeling once completed. Get off that phone and pick up those knitting needles you have put away in the suitcase above. You can even start a kitchen garden, the feel of wet mud in your hands is so relaxing.

3. Cut down the Alcohol and Caffeine

A morning cuppa tea is good, it uplifts the mood and sets the tone for a good day ahead. But too much of it can be bad, alcohol and caffeine can both contribute to a PMS roller coaster. Consider limiting alcoholic drinks, as well as food and beverages containing caffeine — coffee, tea, cocoa, and even chocolate — throughout your cycle.

Blessed to have my Momma just a call away. She is the one person in my life with whom I am very comfortable to talk, trustworthy. Opening up about your feelings in front of someone can release the built-in stress and you’ll be relaxed after talking. 5. Don’t blame yourself

We all are human beings. Mistakes and imperfections are a part and parcel of our life. Learn to let it go and move on. A healthier alternative is to go beyond the blame by looking at your life and obstacles as an opportunity to take action.

6. Learn to Just relax

it’s easy to say, harder to do, but definitely worth the effort. PMS may leave you anxious and tense, so it’s a good idea to learn some relaxation techniques as part of your PMS treatment. Consider yoga, deep breathing, or meditation. Stretching techniques such as yoga or just a stroll down the seaside, as I do with my neighbor. A quick massage on the neck, shoulders, and feet can boost your mood and release stress.

3. Sing: Uplifts your spirits in no time. Sing those old Mukesh/Asha Bhosle numbers it feels really good, trust me.

4. Enjoy quality dark chocolate: Have it slowly, place dark chocolate on your palate and let it melt until the last bit. cocoa is known as phenylethylamine, which is known for providing an instant boost to your sour spirits.

5. Get the old photo albums out, remember the good days but take hold of your present because it’s a beautiful present (gift) from God.
